The " Place du Marche Sainte Catherine "
he "Place du Marché Sainte Catherine" is a small island ,
a pedestrian haven in the "Marais" ( the Swamp" ) , which is the oldest and most beautiful district
of Paris. This peaceful square owes its name to a convent which had been destroyed in the year 1783,
that is 6 years before the French Revolution to build the first covered of the Capital.
Given its old age, the market was pulled down in the thirties.
